Worship Arts Audition Form

Thank you for taking the first steps in pursuing auditions with LC3 Worship Arts Team. Please carefully read the information below before you begin to fill out your audition application.

Expectations for serving as a worship volunteer.

Not every worship opportunity is going to be in our main service, so we really value humility and willingness to serve wherever you may be needed.
If you are placed in any worship role, you'll be expected to show a high level of commitment to your service area. This includes practicing, being on time, and letting your "yes be yes".
While we don't require membership to start serving, we strongly encourage our volunteers to pursue church membership as well as involvement in a relational environment (Community Group, Accountability, Discipleship, Mentoring, etc.). If you are currently pursuing membership and/or a relational environment, but it is not finalized yet, please let us know where you are in the process.

What is the Worship Arts Team looking for?

We are looking for people who have a passion to serve people and are skilled musically.
Our ministry relies on people who are faithful, available and flexible.
Some of the ministry environments at LC3 demand less skills than others, but all ministries depend on people who have a daily abiding relationship with Jesus, a solid grasp of their skills and already have a good general knowledge of their craft.
Just because you may not be asked to serve does not mean you are not gifted. Our audition process is designed to look for the right fit for each team, depending on the needs at that time.

What is the process for worship auditions?

1.Complete the Worship Arts Audition Form and upload your audition video

See "requirements for an audition video" below.
The Worship Arts Pastor will respond to you shortly after reviewing your application.

2. Live Audition

Once we receive your audition form and video, we will then do live auditions, by invitation only.
You will be asked to prepare 4 songs, provided by the Worship Pastor.
Invitations will be sent through Planning Center and multitracks providing charts and rehearsal files to assist in preparation for your audition.
Auditions will take place in the Worship Center using in-ear monitors and a click track.
The Worship Arts Team facilitates all auditions and will schedule a time that works for the individual and Worship Pastor.

3. Next Steps

We will contact you within one week after your live audition to let you know the results of your audition and potential next steps.

4. Onboarding

Begin serving with the Worship Arts team.

What are the requirements for an audition video?

Record yourself playing and/or singing 1-2 worship songs that represent your passion and proficiency.
Your video must be current (filmed within the 2 weeks).
This does not need to be a highly produced video. Phone quality is great!
We must be able to see and hear you sing and/or play your instrument.
